Women's Soccer Falls to No. 6 GCC

CANANDAIGUA — The Finger Lakes Community College women's soccer team saw their two-game winning streak come to an end Tuesday evening against nationally-ranked Genesee Community College at FLCC's turf facility.

Freshman Mackenzie Johnson-Boser (Dansville, N.Y./Dansville) stopped two shots in the first half for the Lakers (4-4-1) against the Cougars (7-1), ranked sixth in the latest NJCAA Division III rankings.

Sophomore Allie Bowe (Victor, N.Y./Victor) led the Lakers with four shots on goal, then came on in goal in relief of Johnson-Boser in goal to start the second half and made nine saves in the final 45 minutes for FLCC.

The Lakers have two more games remaining on this homestand, hosting SUNY ESF at 6 p.m. Friday evening, and Onondaga Community College at 6 p.m. Monday evening.
