De’Yara (DeDe) Burrell returns to Genesee as an Assistant Coach for the women’s basketball program. Burrell will also be the instructor of Competitive Women’s Basketball Fundamentals courses.

DeDe played for Coach Christie McGee-Ross and made two appearances in the NJCAA Division II Women’s Basketball National Tournament, and also won two NJCAA Region III Championships. Burrell also received numerous awards throughout her Genesee playing career.

Burrell received her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from NAIA-I Jarvis Christian College.
